Acceptance

By accessing or using LessonWorks you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are using LessonWorks on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.

Service description

LessonWorks provides software for tutoring organizations to manage sessions, tutors, families, billing, payroll, and related operations. Features are made available to you by the tutoring organization that owns your account.

Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to access data that does not belong to you or your organization.
• Do not use the platform to send unlawful, harassing, or fraudulent communications.
• Do not reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the operation of the service.

SMS messaging program

LessonWorks offers an optional SMS program for transactional updates. The program details are:

• Program name: LessonWorks notifications.
• Message types: session reminders, booking request submissions and responses, and phone verification codes.
• Message frequency: varies by your activity. Typically a few messages per week.
• Cost: message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. LessonWorks does not charge a fee for SMS.
• Opt-in: SMS is off by default. You opt in by entering your mobile number on your profile page and confirming the 6-digit verification code we text to that number.
• Opt-out: reply STOP to any message, or click "Disable SMS" on your profile page, to immediately stop further messages.
• Help: reply HELP to any message, or email support@lessonworks.net, for assistance.
• Supported carriers: all major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless, Metro by T-Mobile, and Google Fi. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your phone number and opt-in data. We do not share mobile information or SMS opt-in data with third parties for marketing.

Accounts and security

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized access.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms. Your organization may also remove your access at any time. On termination, your right to use the service ends; provisions that should survive (disclaimers, limitations of liability, governing law) will survive.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LessonWorks is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits or revenues.

Changes

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted in the application. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
